Realisation follows the confession.
Confession precedes possession.

Galatians 2:20
20"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

"I HAVE BEEN crucified with Christ..."

The very day you receive Christ as your Lord and Savior, you HAVE BEEN crucified with Christ.
When Christ was crucified, what part of Him died?
Spirit, Soul or Body?
We know its the body. That was a rhetorical question. But why did I even ask that question?

Ask yourself, are there any areas in your life that you struggle with in dealing with your flesh? Anger? Lust? Jealousy? Worry?
You HAVE BEEN crucified with Christ. Your flesh is, dead.
So each time, you feel fleshly desires creeping into your mind. Tell yourself, I HAVE BEEN crucified with Christ.

"... and its no longer I who live, but CHRIST LIVES IN ME..."

Has that ever amazed you?
That Christ lives IN you?
The same power that conquered the grave lives IN you?

Each time you feel that your flesh seems to be taking over, its time to speak to your flesh.
We've got to learn how to preach to ourselves!
Speak this over your flesh, "its no longer I who live, but CHRIST LIVES IN ME...

"... and the lift I now live in the flesh I LIVE BY FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD, who loved me and gave Himself up for me."

Aren't you glad that your faith is in the SON OF GOD?
Ever believed someone but that person failed you?
The weather forecast? Your best friend?

Let us daily rejoice, that we can put our faith in someone who is unchanging and unshakable!
Not only that, but in someone that we can rely on!
And that He would love US!

Ever wondered how small you are compared to the entire spectrum of creation?
The good news is, God loves YOU.
Small as you are, God loves YOU.

And its GOD who loves us.
Not just your best friend, not just your crush...
GOD!
GOD loves YOU!

Each time you feel you're about to get beaten down, tell yourself this, "God loves me."

Philippians 4:15-19
15You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone;
16for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs.
17Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.
18But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
19And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

This is one of the most common verses in the bible that people stand on for their providence.

However, this verse is often misunderstood, and people just proclaim it without understanding the principle behind this verse. The main reason why its misunderstood, is because people forget the keyword at the start of verse 19, 'And'.

Hence we see that there is a principle behind receiving. If you were to read this verse in context; from verse 15-19, you would see that Paul was praising the Philippians for their giving.

To understand the significance behind this, let us look at 2 Cor 8:1-2.

2 Cor 8:1-2
1Now, brethren, we wish to make known to you the grace of God which has been given in the churches of Macedonia,
2that in a great ordeal of affliction their abundance of joy and their deep poverty overflowed in the wealth of their liberality.

If you understood what Paul said there, the churches in Macedonia, including Philippi, they were not exactly doing very well financially. Still, they chose to give.

The reason why people are often afraid to give, is because the world's economy runs on scarcity; a lack of supply. But God's economy never lacks. Hallelujah!

You cannot be a Christian and not give; it does not go together. God calls us to give. And its in giving, that we receive.

2 Cor 9:7
Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Find joy in giving. Give. And do it cheerfully.

Besides abiding in God, we see that there is something else to the verse in the book of Psalm.

Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself in the LORD;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.

The word there is, delight.

James 1:2-4
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Often when we abide in God, it goes against the very nature of sin and the ways of the world. We find that there will be a certain level of difficulty in doing so.

But here we see that James urges us to count is as pure joy!

And we can give thanks to God that He gives us the ability to overcome all these things! (Romans 8:37)

On top of that, we know that the joy of the Lord is our strength! (Nehemiah 8:10)

Therefore, find joy in your lifestyle of worship. As you keep delighting in God's ways, your thoughts will be aligned with God's.

And you will know, that whatever you ask of Him, you will have.
